Welcome to Shenandoah Moon

Shenandoah Moon – Specializing in fair trade, locally made, and distinctive clothing.

Shenandoah Moon will “hibernate” for the rest of the winter and re-open in the Spring to continue our “Going Out of Business SALE.”

We will be open for special events — look for updates in an upcoming newsletter and on Facebook.

  • You can still schedule a private party during the next few months — we teach more than 25 different classes, including lots of jewelry classes, plus dyeing, felting and fabric embellishment as well.
  • We will be open the first and third Thursday of each month when the Mixed Media group meets.
  • We’ll continue to offer the free monthly Essential Oils classes and Sit & Knit sessions.

Private parties and classes

We host private parties for up to 12 in our cozy classroom, the perfect way to make your visit to the shop or Luray memorable.

You and your family or friends will have fun and create lasting memories while you make a work of art that you can enjoy for years.

Our most popular event is the silk dyeing class, where no creativity is needed — Susan guides you through making two gorgeous hand-dyed silk scarves.

Often students are so thrilled with the results that they make additional scarves as gifts.

Parties require a minimum of four, and can sometimes even be scheduled with as little as 48 hours notice.

Consider Shenandoah Moon as Luray’s “Indoor Activity Place.”
